Overview
Salesforce Playground is a Chrome Extension that provides an in-browser IDE for Salesforce developers. This policy explains what data we access, how it is used, and our commitment to your privacy.
Data We Do NOT Collect
Salesforce Playground does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically, we never collect:
- Your Salesforce credentials, session tokens, or org details
- Code, metadata, or files you view or edit
- SOQL queries or API responses
- Usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
- Browser history or tab information
- Personally identifiable information of any kind
How the Extension Works
All operations performed by Salesforce Playground run entirely within your browser. The extension:
- Reads your existing authenticated Salesforce browser session — no login is required
- Makes API calls directly from your browser to your Salesforce org
- Never routes data through any external server or proxy
- Has no backend infrastructure — there is no server that ever sees your data
Your code and credentials never leave your machine.
Third-Party Services
Salesforce Playground does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
The only network requests made by the extension are the Salesforce API calls that you explicitly initiate — sent directly from your browser to your Salesforce org.
Permissions
The extension requests only the Chrome permissions necessary to function. These permissions are used solely to interact with the Salesforce tab you are currently viewing and to enable the in-browser IDE capabilities.
No permission is used to access data outside of your active Salesforce session.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. We will never change this policy in a way that compromises your privacy without clear notice.
